    Default Washing machines

I'm researching washing machines for an elderly relative who has been the victim of several strokes, and finds learning/using/understanding new appliances difficult.

Can anyone recommend a field-tested model which is simple and easy to operate for those with limited mobility and comprehension?

    Thanks!

Ricability (www.ricability.org.uk) have a report on washing machines on their website but I am not sure how recent it is: or if it is just general advice or more specific:

    It might help though!

Thanks for the info - I had looked at this report, but was hoping for a recommendation of a particular model that has good all-round usability in this situation.

The site does provide some helpful pointers though

    Default Moon washing machine

My Gran gets on well with her Indesit Moon washing machine because it has simple large buttons and no dial controls. This link is to a range of suppliers.

However, many reviews by users complain that their Moon washing machine smells!

    hi,

you can google what is the best type or model of washing machine for you. You can also search for the reviews of the people who tested kinds of washing machines.

Thanks - as posted earlier we have purchased her an Indesit Moon washing machine, which she's very pleased with. It has very simple controls that are easy for her to use, and is also quiet running.

    Hi there

We paid around £390, and got it from Argos at the time, but you can get it for around £300 from other websites now. We chose Argos because they could deliver and connect it, and take away the packaging and old machine. Hope that helps!
