Care Package

Just had interview regards a care package with a social worker, there was a mantion of of a financial assesment interview basically from what I can gather they will asses my income/exspences to see whether they exspect me to contribute towards the care.

They will also consider savings. I have a small ammount put to one side towards a newer S/H car, and if this is used towards the care package then I feel I may well never be able to afford a better car.

What levels of savings are allowed before they ask for a contribution towards the package.

Plus what ammount of contribution would they expect.

I am on benefits and DLA.
