    Default elbow crutches

Standard NHS crutches are painful to use, Fisher handles are too wide and cause tendon pain in my thumbs. Has anyone seen crutches whose handles mould to your own hand? Has anyone seen crutches that have shock absorption?

It is possible to get shock absorbing crutches, however i have not seen handles that mould to your hand. There are handle covers and pads that attach over the existing handle to give increased pressure relief. If you would like more information regarding what is available, please feel free to call me on 01386 443857 or e-mail me at ot@my-indy.co.uk. Hope this information is of help to you.

Default Shock absorbing and 'comfy grip' crutches

Use the following link to view Shock absorbing and 'comfy grip' crutches from our database.
We recommend you consult a physiotherapist and explain that your crutches are causing you pain. Contact your local physiotherapy service or enter your postcode on the NHS Choices website to find physiotherapy departments. If you wish to request a private appointment with a physiotherapist then you can obtain a list of local chartered physiotherapists who offer private services from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists at www.csp.org.uk or tel: 020 7306 6666

    Hope this helps

    Default elbow crutches

Anyone out there experience elbow/arm problems that can be traced back to the HM 200G?

I was given some long term user crutches some years ago, and the handles were very uncomfortable. I went to the local bike shop and got some 'Madison' ergonomic handlebar grips which have proved ideal. I have had them so long that they may no longer be available, but there may be a similar product.
